Interest makes the point. Improve memory now

http://www.memoryboost.blogspot.com/

In the last post, we have talked about the first crucial thing you need to have to remember more and improve your memory. Now, it is time for us to move on and proceed to the second lesson-"Interest".

www.memoryboost.blogspot.com

There are people that just can't remember numbers, but when you ask them to play poker cards, they could memorize what numbers you have and the order of the cards at ease. There are also a bunch of people who always complain about how lame they are at remembering names, but you can see that they will easily remember the names of their celebrity idols, family of the idols, cars their idols driving and so on. There are also a number of people who like to sing so much, but often complains they can't memorize, but are able to memorize the whole song lyrics. Now you get what I mean?

I can conclude that"interest" is crucial to improve your memory. If you don't really like or don't like a subject at all, you would need to put a lot of effort in order to memorize the information. So, I would advise you to get interested on the particular subject, when you need to memorize them. Now you would need to learn to love them. To be honest with you, it is not a hard thing to do. I used to hate History, but instead of reading it like some sort of boring, stationary facts, I would rather read it like a story. During the studies, I have also discovered another useful tip to improve memory too, by up to 200% in lesser time. Don't worry, I will teach you this not long in the future.

The kids and teenagers that love to go to school would easily remember anything that stands between their homes and the schools. Because they are happy to go to school and always are interested with the school, thus they can remember the shops, trees, people, houses etc.. on the road to and from the school. This also shows that being happy improves memory too. When you are depressed, like the adults that go to work everyday, unless they love their job and working environment, they are likely to hate or dislike their job which applies to most of the employees. Tests also shown that, contrary from the kids we talked about, they could hardly remember what's located between their homes and offices. Because their interest towards their job has faded and continue to fade more and more as days go by, their memory also deteriorates.

So now, we know that "interest" serves a potent role to improve memory, but here's the million-dollar question, how can we learn to love and increase our interest level?

www.memoryboost.blogspot.com

A number of people have told me it is impossible and if possible, it would be hard. And luckily for you, people who want to improve memory, it is actually not so hard. let us learn from a couple of examples that I will talk on. Example #1, if you are a student, and hate chemistry so much, that you can't memorize a single piece of information on the textbook and the formulas disgust you all the time, what can you do? If you ask me, I would ask you to go to the Chemistry teacher and refer to him/her. Ask them questions, ask them why they teach Chemistry and not other subjects, ask them what is in it for you if you become excellent in Chemistry, just know more about the teacher and subject. So now you ask me why again. Why? It is because the teachers have contributed their life and career in a particular subject. They know a lo more than we do, for that their life is almost about that subject. So it would be essential for you to refer to them.

By knowing more about something that you need to memorize but hate at the same time, you are actually slowly become interested about that subject. It is so important to have interest for the information you need to memorize.

Actually:
Interest = memory's appetizer

After you eat the appetizer on the dining table, you would love to eat. The same way goes if you want to improve memory. Get interested and you will memorize more and better.

Till we meet in the next post, be well and peace.

The first step to improve your memory. VITAL

By thinking that you can memorize, you are actually boosting your memory to at least 3 times.

www.memoryboost.blogspot.com

Really, no kidding. I have personally seen some real life example making giant leap improvements by actually thinking that they could memorize better than anyone ever existed.

But before that, let me tell you that if you are incapable of memorizing names, numbers or faces don’t mean that you have poor memory. Some people are good in memorizing numbers but not that good or really bad with memorizing facts like historical occurrences. Some would be another way round. This has something to do with the DNA I think.

A real person I personally know who is a high-school student happened to have problem with science facts. He would always complain how hard it was for him to be able to memorize the facts in the text book. After days he had talked to me about that, and I was really bored of the complaints so instead of asking him not to be sad about that, I asked him to be confident of himself and I told him that by thinking that you are good at memorizing it would help a lot in the memorizing part of the study.

He listened to my advice and he changed his attitude on memorizing. He changed to a much confident person. Every time he’d studied Science and History, he would write the facts on a piece of paper and with the though of “being able to memorize anything” he was able to quickly remember those solid, hard facts.

Right now you might wonder why being positively could help, Ok, I would tell you why. If you have no confidence in doing some thing, you have already lost half of the game. Same goes to memorizing. In this case, if you have no confidence, your brain cells will not be as active as normal level of brain activities, needless to say the peak. When the cells are inactive, your memory would eventually be turned off. No matter how hard you try to stuff anything into your brain, it wouldn’t work. Guess you guys have experienced this context before right?

This is, at times, defined by some specialist as “I-can’t Factor”, which should be avoided at all times, not just in memorizing but at any occasion in your life.

“I-can’t Factor” CYCLE
No confidence = brain cells activities limited = no way you can remember = you have lesser confidence

Then the “I-can’t Factor” gets worse and till the point, worst.

Therefore, the first thing you should have confidence, to be able to memorize all those things you want. If you want to forget something, this concept can be used, too. I tried to forget my mistake using this concept.

Have that positive attitude combine with efforts more than any one else alive and you are already paving your way to become greater than you could ever imagine.
